On November 11th, a Workshop dedicated to “Natural Bioactive Compounds: Challenges and Opportunities for the Agrifood Industry” was held at the Escola Superior Agrária do Instituto Politécnico de Santarém.
This Workshop featured the presence of Nádia Correia (Allmicroalgae) where she addressed “Microalgae in new food products: applications and potential”.
The central themes of this event were the “Emerging Technologies: the future in biocompound extraction” (Panel I) and “Natural biocompounds in the agrifood industry” (Panel II), being the organizing committee INOV.LINEA- Food Technologies, from TAGUSVALLEY- Science and Technology Park, the Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, theLaboratório de Bioenergia e Biotecnologia Aplicada – BIOTEC.IPT, the Centro de Investigação em Qualidade de Vida – CIEQV and the Centro de Investigação LEAF (Linking Landscape, Environment, Agriculture and Food).
